How do seven- and eight-karaka conventions differ? / सात और आठ कारक पद्धतियाँ कैसे अलग हैं?
The seven-karaka convention uses classical planets. The supported eight-karaka convention adds mean Rahu with reversed progress within the sign.

Not necessarily. Including reversed Rahu changes the candidate set, so compare the selected convention before comparing the winning planet.

The method uses the birth chart and Navamsa. Time uncertainty can affect relevant chart references and should be considered before interpretation.
