लग्न दर्ज जन्म क्षण पर पूर्वी क्षितिज में उदित राशि है। यहाँ उसका नाम और निरयन देशांतर दिखता है, पूरी कुंडली के अन्य भाग नहीं।
कौन-सी जानकारी भरनी चाहिए?
जन्मतिथि, भरोसेमन्द जन्म समय, अक्षांश, देशांतर और समय क्षेत्र चाहिए। केवल जन्मतिथि से विश्वसनीय लग्न नहीं निकाला जाता।
इसकी गणना किस पद्धति से होती है?
मौजूदा कुंडली इंजन समय क्षेत्र से जन्म क्षण तय करके स्थान के क्षितिज की गणना करता है। इस समर्पित फॉर्म में लाहिड़ी अयनांश जाता है।
परिणाम की सीमाएँ क्या हैं?
राशि-सीमा के पास समय का छोटा सुधार लग्न बदल सकता है। लग्न अकेले विवाह, करियर या स्वास्थ्य का निश्चित उत्तर नहीं है और यह उपकरण जन्म समय का संशोधन नहीं करता।

Understanding Ascendant
The ascendant, or Lagna, is the zodiac sign rising at the eastern horizon at the recorded birth time. It sets the starting point for a Vedic birth chart. This page returns that sign and its sidereal longitude without loading unrelated chart sections.
How this tool works
The existing Kundli engine uses the birth date, local clock time, IANA timezone and geographic coordinates. Lahiri is the convention used by this form. The timezone resolves the recorded local time to a specific instant; the location is needed to calculate the horizon.

What does the ascendant's sidereal longitude describe?
It is the calculated zodiac position of the rising point. The sign label groups that longitude into the corresponding zodiac sign.
Does changing the ayanamsha setting elsewhere change this form?
This dedicated form submits Lahiri. A result from another convention must be calculated in a workspace that explicitly supports that convention.
Why can a small time correction change Lagna near a sign boundary?
The rising point moves through the zodiac with the local horizon. Near a sign boundary, a corrected birth instant can place it on the other side.
Is Lagna the same as ascendant?
Yes. Lagna is the usual Vedic term for the ascendant, the rising sign at the recorded birth instant.
Can I calculate Lagna without a birth time?
A dependable ascendant requires a birth time. This form does not manufacture a rising sign from a date alone.
Why does birthplace matter for Lagna?
The horizon depends on latitude and longitude, so the location is part of the calculation rather than just a display label.
Is this a tropical or sidereal ascendant?
This form returns the sidereal ascendant using the Lahiri convention displayed with the native calculation.
Why might another site show a different Lagna?
Check the birth time, timezone, daylight-saving treatment, coordinates and ayanamsha before comparing results.
Does a sign number mean a house number?
No. Sign numbers identify zodiac signs. The ascendant establishes the first-house reference for whole-sign charts.
Does this tool rectify birth time?
No. It calculates the ascendant for the time entered. Birth-time rectification is a separate assessment.
