Understanding Kaal Sarp Dosha
This page checks whether the seven classical planets lie within one of the two closed half-circle arcs defined by mean Rahu and mean Ketu. It reports the enclosure found by that stated profile and the relevant planet evidence. It does not turn an arrangement into a verdict on your life.
How this tool works
The existing native Insights kernel uses mean nodes, seven classical planets and closed 180-degree arcs. A no-enclosure result can show planets outside the closer arc. Definitions vary, so results from other tools must be compared using their actual inclusion and boundary rules.

Does a planet outside the tested arc prevent complete enclosure?
Yes. Complete enclosure requires the seven classical planets to satisfy one of the tested closed arcs under this profile.
Does the outside-planets list describe every chart weakness?
No. It identifies exceptions to the tested nodal enclosure. It is not an inventory of planetary strength or all doshas.
Are the two Rahu–Ketu arcs interchangeable in the result?
The engine tests the two candidate half-circle arcs and reports its enclosure evidence. Read the returned arc rather than assuming only one direction was examined.
Which planets are tested for enclosure?
The native rule tests the seven classical planets against the mean Rahu–Ketu arcs.
Does this use mean or true Rahu?
This screening profile uses mean Rahu and mean Ketu. It does not silently switch to true nodes.
Are the arc endpoints included?
The native profile uses closed arcs. Boundary treatment is therefore part of the method when comparing providers.
What does no complete enclosure mean?
At least one classical planet lies outside each candidate enclosing arc under this profile.
Does a detected result predict failure?
No. An enclosure flag is a calculated arrangement, not a guarantee of a harmful event.
Why might another calculator disagree?
Providers can use different node conventions, boundary rules and definitions. Compare methods before treating results as contradictory.
Does this prescribe a paid ritual?
No. The dedicated calculator reports the arrangement and its interpretive boundary without prescribing a purchase.
