The civil date follows the declared sunrise, sunset, midday or midnight anchor at the selected location. A boundary close to that anchor can fall on a different local date elsewhere.

Ashvina Krishna Dvadashi covering Pradosha; the first repeated day is selected (CRC 1955, p.104). Choose two or three daylight muhurtas after sunset (p.108); the complete window must fit within the applicable tithi. The timing card exposes the returned anchor and evidence so the result can be checked rather than accepted as a black box.
